I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of São Paulo (USP). I received a PhD in History from São Paulo State University (Unesp), where I work at the Postgraduate Program in Public Policy Analysis. I am also an affiliated editor of Theoretical Practice (Adam Mickiewicz University – Poland), an invited researcher at the inauguration of the Forschungskreis Gregor Girard (FK2G) of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and the coordinator of the seminar "Cartographies of the contemporary" at the Institute for Advanced Studies of USP. I also serve as the editor-in-chief of Cadernos CIMEAC (Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro), reviewer of academic journals in Italy, England, Colombia and Brazil, and contributor to newspapers in Spain, the United States and Brazil. I am member of "Historiar: identity narratives, concepts, languages" (research group supported by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development of Brazil, CNPq) and a researcher linked to the Laboratory for the Study of Education of USP. My current research focuses on social theory, globalization, modernity/modernization and history of education.
