I completed a postdoctoral research (Social Sciences) at the University of São Paulo (USP) and received a Ph.D. in History from São Paulo State University (Unesp), where I am a lecturer in Public Policy at the Postgraduate Program in Planning and Analysis of Public Policy. As a member of Critical Theory Research Network, I participated in the research project that gave rise to the book "Critical theory and authoritarian populism" (University of Westminster Press, 2018) and to its second volume, which is currently under contract with Brill. I am an associate researcher at the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), affiliated editor of Theoretical Practice (Adam Mickiewicz University – Poland) and a researcher linked to the Laboratory for the Study and Research in Education of USP and to the research groups Historiar: Identity Narratives, Concepts, Language (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development of Brazil, CNPq) and Theory and Historiography (State University of Minas Gerais). I was an invited researcher at the inauguration of the Forschungskreis Gregor Girard (FK2G) at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and one of the coordinators of the seminar "Cartographies of the contemporary" at the Institute for Advanced Studies of USP. In addition to my academic activities, since 2016 I have been contributing to newspapers in Spain, United States and Brazil with essays and interviews on public policy, democracy, globalization and Latin American politics. My research interests include social theory, globalization, contemporary history, social movements (popular education), and modernity/modernization discourses. Currently, besides the volume with Brill, I am editing a volume on crisis and globalization (2021) and working on a book on globalization and digital capitalism that will probably come out in 2021 as well. I serve as the editor-in-chief of Cadernos CIMEAC (Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro) and reviewer of academic journals in Italy, England, Colombia, Denmark and Brazil.
